Birthday celebrations
I've just learned a very useful word for the blogosphere--backblog. This blog entry is a case in point: my birthday was nearly three weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to writing a post to commemorate the occasion. I would like to state that it was a lovely day, and I have no qualms about being 28. Mom has been rounding my age up all year anyway, so I had a while to get used to the idea.
Highlights of the day:
Many lovely gifts and cards from my appreciated family
A new ipod nano to keep me company while running
A homemade chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and 27 (oops, I mean 28) candles
Actually, I do need to brag on Todd. I had no idea that he had a hidden talent for baking. He and Betty Crocker whipped up a fine chocolate cake, complete with his own creative additions (marshmellows and chocolate chips). And the candles didn't burn the flat down, which is always a plus.

Hey Todd and Anna,
ReplyDeleteI was up north a wee bit of where you are staying a few months back (April to be precise). I was in Buckie, Scotland, on Sabbatical. Lovely people, brilliant views, and its a lovely way of speaking they have but I dinna ken a ward on it.
Mark
Anna,
ReplyDeleteDid I forget to say happy birthday?
Happy birthday Anna.
I'm glad to see you had a good birthday. We wish we could have been there.
